The original encaustic paintings are made with beeswax and pigment using both classic encaustic methods and unique techniques I have developed over the past decade creating encaustic art. The ground is my own custom gesso recipe on 3/4" birch panel.

The original encaustic painting measures 24x24" and makes use of copper strips held within the beeswax while a basketweave pattern is blind burned into the surface. A unique and disturbing example of encaustic art techniques.
