Walking through the foothills of the Cascades, I happened across a beautiful meadow with these three trees right in the middle with only themselves for company. It struck me as kind of funny, and reminded me of how siblings can be. Brothers and sisters who face the world with only themselves to comfort each other.
This is another of my favorites, not only for the technical display of balancing freedom and control over the materials, but because of the emotional sweep it captures in simply three trees standing alone against the elements and the churning of the wild flowers and sage in the breeze.
