Lost in the Palouse

Lost in the Palouse attempts once again to capture the grandness of the Palouse country with lines carved into the wax just as the wheat farmer cuts his contours into the field beneath the glorious Eastern Washington sky. The Palouse wheat growers sometimes work at perilous angles to sow and harvest our food, and many have been killed in the process when the angle proves too steep and the tractor rolls. 2×4′ encaustic on birch panel.
