The original encaustic paintings are made with beeswax and pigment using both classic encaustic methods and unique techniques I have developed over the past decade creating encaustic art. The ground is my own custom gesso recipe on 3/4" birch panel.

In any creative endeavor, when you are forced to produce work by forces outside yourself,  then the bloom of that work's promise is stunted and small. The original encaustic painting measures 12x12".
